Imogene Ruth (Sisco) Vines' Obituary



Imogene Ruth Vines, 87, of Fayetteville died Friday, Nov. 7, 2008, at Washington Regional Medical Center in Fayetteville. She was born Dec. 20, 1920, in Kingston to Carl and Lela Boydston Sisco. She was employed by Buena Park, Calif., Public Schools for 23 years and was awarded honorary life membership in the California Congress of Parents and Teachers for giving her time and talents to the community. She was a member of the First Congressional Church in Buena Park, Calif., for 47 years. She was preceded in death by her husband, Lyle Vines. She is survived by her daughter, Lyla Ferguson and her husband, Jerry, of Elkins; a sister, Atha Lee Imhoff of Riverside, Calif.; a brother, Kenneth Sisco of Westminster, Calif.; two grandsons, Greg Ferguson and his wife, Tina, of Elkins and Brian Ferguson and his wife, Josephine, of Longview, Texas; and one great-granddaughter, Brittney Barker of Fayetteville. The family will receive friends from 2-4 p. m. today at Beardís Chapel. Services will be at 1 p. m. Monday at Fayetteville National Cemetery with the Rev. Jasper Hankins officiating.
